Create a bookmark to search in the folder I:\yyy\xxx only?

Post by Biff »

I want to create a bookmark to search in the folder I:\yyy\xxx only. Just marking that folder in the folder panel and add that to the bookmarks obviously does not work. What is the best method to do it?

Make your search and then select "Add to Bookmarks..." from the Bookmarks menu.

Yes, that exactly was what I did, but the folder is not kept in the bookmark. So Everything searches everything then, not only in that folder.

Create a bookmark with Search =
/explore "I:\yyy\xxx"

Some other variations (Source: Search Commands)
/explore <folder>
Open the folder sidebar and select the specified folder.

/explore-path <filename>
Open the folder sidebar and select the specified filename.
The parent folder is selected in the folders sidebar and the specified file/folder is selected in the result list.

/explore-subfolders <filename>
Open the folder sidebar and select the specified folder.
Search for subfolders is enabled.

/explore-no-subfolders <filename>
Open the folder sidebar and select the specified folder.
Search for subfolders is disabled.
