Hi -
Trying to run an index on my NAS. I added the path per the instructions here: https://www.voidtools.com/support/every ... _indexing/
It's been running for about 20 minutes and nothing is coming up, although I believe it's trying to run something
Compared to the initial startup where it searched my local hard drives very quickly, its taking much longer.
Am I missing something?
Any information appreciated.
Thank you

Re: Doesn't appear to index NAS
Are you running Everything as administrator?
Drive-mappings are per-user so your administrator account might be unable to access your NAS share(s).
Please make sure Everything is installed correctly and running as a standard user:

Please make sure Everything is installed correctly and running as a standard user:
- In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the General tab on the left.
- Check Store settings and data in %APPDATA%\Everything.
- Uncheck Run as administrator.
- Check Everything Service. (Please make sure this is tick-checked and not square-checked)
- Click OK.
- Exit Everything (right click the Everything tray icon and click Exit).
- Restart Everything.

Why is indexing so slow?
Folder indexing uses the same approach as the Windows search.
This can be a lot slower than NTFS indexing.
Everything can take a couple minutes to scan a folder and all its subfolders and files.
