[solved][solution inside] error pop-up when opening multiple pictures

Post by nova2k1 »

Version 1.5.0.1338a (x64)

While trying to open more than 16 pictures from the search results at once, there is a weird error pop-up about a missing printer on my system.
My default image viewer is xnviewmp.

Using to many context menu entries at once are restricted by Windows.
There is a registry setting which allows to increase this limit.

I'm not using the context menu, just selecting the pictures and hitting enter to open.

And what program opens if you hit enter on one of your pictures
in Everything and Windows Explorer ?

xnviewMP

So I tried to reproduce in explorer and it's the same issue.
@horst.epp You've been right from the beginning. It's just very weird when windows throws a printing error, when you don't want to print anything in the first place.

Here's the fix you mentioned https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/troub ... r-15-files
Path: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer
Name: MultipleInvokePromptMinimum
Type: DWORD
Default: 15 (decimal)
marking the thread as solved.
