Freeze on Opening PDF
Anybody else experiences freeze when double-clicking the PDF from content search results?

First guess: you are running Everything as administrator and use Adobe Reader.

Ttry running Everything as a standard user and see if that helps:

- In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the General tab on the left.
- Check Store settings and data in %APPDATA%\Everything.
- Uncheck Run as administrator.
- Check Everything Service. (Please make sure this is tick-checked and not square-checked)
- Click OK.
- Exit Everything (right click the Everything tray icon and click Exit).
- Restart Everything.

(which I don't have at the moment ..)
Was there any activity shown in the statusbar? (like a progress bar)

Third guess ...
Did you have the preview pane open? Try with that pane closed.
If that solves the issue, upgrade to version 1.5.0.1338a as that version fixes a couple of preview issues.

Could you please send me a mini crash dump.
- Keep Everything frozen in the background.
- Download Process Explorer from Microsoft:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/process-explorer - In Process Explorer, select Everything.exe (If there is two, select the one using the most memory)
- Right click Everything64.exe and under Create Dump, select Create Mini Dump.
- Choose a filename and click Save.
