Currently you do Ctrl-Shift-C and it copies the path, which I use all the time.
* My suggestion is that Ctrl-Shift-C-C (a quick double-tap of C) should copy the parent path, and Ctrl-Shift-C-C-C the parent above, and so on.
I think this would be a very efficient way of copying the part you want from the highlighted item, and if you try it, it feels really natural.

I'll consider an option to use Ctrl + Shift + C + C* to copy the parent path to the clipboard.
