What could I do to make Everything index the properties?

Post by Biff »

I plugged in an external USB hard disk, indexed before (I assume, not the properties), the properties obviouslay are not (re)indexed, no (green) progress bar. What could I do to make Everything index the properties?

Everything should automatically index the properties on the drive.

To force Everything to reindex the properties on the drive:
  • Search for all files on the drive, for example:
    e:
  • where e: is the external USB hard disk drive.
  • Select all files (Ctrl + A)
  • Press Ctrl + F5.
  • Everything will reindex the properties of the selected files in the background.
There's no progress bar -this is on my TODO list.

Thank you very much!
Everything should automatically index the properties on the drive.
Why doesn't it do this here? What could one do to make Everything automatically index the properties always?
Everything will reindex the properties of the selected files in the background.
So how does one know when it is finished? To plugg off the drive? When it automatically indexes the properties the green progress bar always is shown? Does this (re-)index the files with missing properties only or all of the selected files?
