Hi everyone,
I'm running Everything 1.4.1.1022 (x64) as Admin on Windows 10 with bit locker encrypted C: drive. When I open the search, it shows system files and others on the C: drive but nothing in the user profiles folders, i.e. c:\Users\<User name>. What could be the cause of this?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Cheers,
Roman

Re: no user profile folder files in the index
Hi void,
Thanks for the tips.
I only have specific folders in the exclude, e.g. *\bin\*. No such folders exists in user profile folder. In the search options I've got the defaults ticked, i.e.:
Fast ASCII search
Match path
Match whole file name
The problem is, on start, it shows all files elsewehere, but in user profile folders it seems to be filtring files, e..g if I type \Users\ in the search box, it shows only *.cmd, *.bat, *.exe, *.scr and installer files in the subfolders it shows.
Cheers,
Roman

Re: no user profile folder files in the index
Hi void,
I just noticed that it seems to be filtering by file types, and only shows command-related files in general, i.e. *.bat, *.cmd, *.exe, *.scr and *.msi. In the exclude I have entries like:
*\Bin\*
*\Coll\*
Thanks,
Roman

Re: no user profile folder files in the index
Sounds like you have the executable filter enabled?
Is Executable shown in the status bar on the bottom right?
Please make sure the Everything filter is active under the Search menu.
(or double click the Executable text in the status bar)

Re: no user profile folder files in the index
You were right! it indeed showed Executable on the status. After I clicked it, it disappeared. I had no idea how that got enabled. (hit a keyboard shortcut key combination by chance (is there one?)
Thanks very much for help
