Is there a way to search for filters in Organize Filters:

Is there a way to group bookmarks / filters? Respectively to add a folder you can put in special bookmarks / filters (like one can do in browsers)?

No.
Searching in Organize Filters is on my TODO list.

What are you trying to do?
If you are trying to quickly select a filter, please try the Select Filter dialog (Ctrl + K)
You can search for filters in this dialog.

For filters, no.

Bookmarks can be organized into folders in Everything 1.5.

Exactly that:

You can search for filters in this dialog.
OK, that's great, thank you. Is it possible to show that dialog by clicking a button in the Organize Filters window? Or show a hint to this shortcut there? I am afraid I will forget that shortcut.
Bookmarks can be organized into folders.
Ah, sorry, don't know how it is possible to miss that option there.

Searching for filters in the Organize Filters window is on my TODO list.

I will consider showing a shortcut under the Search menu.

Thank you for the suggestions.

For now please consider customizing the keyboard shortcut to something more memorable:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the Keyboard tab on the left.
  • To the right of Show commands containing, search for: select
  • Select Search | Select filter....
  • Click Add....
  • Press a new keyboard shortcut and click OK.

Thank you very much!

May be toolbars would be good (there is some free space at the right of the menu) for such and else (bookmarks, filters, options, etc).

How could I make a bookmark that shows this (and other commands)
/offline_alpha=255
in the search field so I could change 255 to another value before pressing ENTER and press ENTER to change the grey for offline items?

Please consider the filter bar (View -> Filter Bar) for quick access to your filters.
Please consider the filter sidebar (View -> Filters) for quick access to your filters.

Please consider creating the following two bookmarks:
  • In Everything, from the Bookmarks menu, click Add to bookmarks.
  • Change the Name to: Offline Transparent
  • Change the Search to: /offline_alpha=160
  • Click OK.
  • In Everything, from the Bookmarks menu, click Add to bookmarks.
  • Change the Name to: Offline Opaque
  • Change the Search to: /offline_alpha=255
  • Click OK.

-or-

To create a bookmark that doesn't execute a command:
  • In Everything, from the Bookmarks menu, click Add to bookmarks.
  • Change the Name to: Offline Opaque
  • Change the Search to: /expand /offline_alpha=255
  • Click OK.
(this way you can change the value and then press ENTER)

No, not yet, sorry.
I'll add a right click -> Select Filter option in the next alpha update.

  • Change the Name to: Toggle Offline Transparency
  • Change the Search to: /offline_alpha=offline_alpha==255?160:255

Yes, this new single bookmark would replace the need for the two other older bookmarks.
