When you are on a folder in the tree view pane and that folder disappears - due to the action of some other process or when you drag the folder onto another folder to move it in or if you simply delete it - the selected folder on the tree has to find a new place. Currently it jumps to the immediate parent of the item you had been on.
Can I recommend it jump to the adjacent sibling immediately after (if none then immediately prior, if none the parent etc), as then the tree view doesn't jump and you stay where you are. This is particularly important if you are dragging folders one by one into another, where jumping to the parent each time is very problematic! But I think this solution will help in all instances of the selected tree folder disappearing.

Tree Folder Removal : Jump to Sibling
Re: Tree Folder Removal : Jump to Sibling
I will consider an option to jump to the sibling folder instead of the parent folder.
