Indexing Smsartphone?
Indexing Smsartphone?
So I can see there are files on the Smsartphone shown in the search result. But I cannot find the index, nor in "Inedexs" or in the folder panel. Where is it?
Ah, no, it is the cache of the Smartphone Manger on Win. Is it possible to index Smsartphones?

No, nothing of that:
Re: Indexing Smsartphone?
Could you please send some verbose debug output:
Have you enabled folder_background_index?
-If so, Everything might not scan your phone immediately.
- In Everything 1.5, from the Tools menu, under the Debug submenu, click Start Debug Logging.
- From the Tools menu, under the Debug submenu, check Verbose.
- From the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the Folders tab on the left.
- Select your phone folder.
- Click Rescan now.
---Everything will show rescanning text above the add button--- - Wait until this rescanning text disappears. (the text may only appear briefly, if unsure, please wait one minute)
- From the Tools menu, under the Debug submenu, click Stop Debug Logging.
- ---this will open your Everything Debug Log.txt---
- Could you please send this file to support@voidtools.com

Re: Indexing Smsartphone?
This message (saying something like no response or no connection) came up on the first try (clicking the Rescan now butten), although there was a connection, I would think:In Everything 1.5, from the Tools menu, under the Debug submenu, click Start Debug Logging.

I plugged off and in the USB plug, clicked that button again a few times and sometimes the rescan text was shown - mostly it wasn't - for a second or two.
Just sent the log.
No, I didn't. What is this useful for?Have you enabled folder_background_index?
-If so, Everything might not scan your phone immediately.
Re: Indexing Smsartphone?
After having turned off the debug mode Everything goes on using up to over 15 % of CPU. Is there some (debug) process still running?
Re: Indexing Smsartphone?
Thanks for the logs.
The logs show the phone folder is empty.
Windows Explorer is also showing this phone folder as empty.
Everything will index the same as what you see in Windows Explorer.
Enabling it can make your initial index faster, but your folder indexes will appear empty until the background index completes.
Please leave it disabled as it is inefficient.
Please try unchecking verbose debug mode:

Indexing folders in the background, instead of immediately. No, I didn't. What is this useful for?Have you enabled folder_background_index?

Everything is no longer in debug mode, however, having verbose mode checked can cause Everything to process additional information. After having turned off the debug mode Everything goes on using up to over 15 % of CPU. Is there some (debug) process still running?

- From the Tools menu, under the Debug submenu, uncheck Verbose.
Re: Indexing Smsartphone?
