Does not remember last sort order

Everything v1.4.1.1018 (Portable)

Despite Options > Home > Sort > Use last value it is not remembering last sort (column) order (asc/desc), when the app is closed or restarted.

Is this a bug or something else that I'm missing here?

Everything will reset to a fast sort.

Please try enabling fast sorts:

• In "Everything", from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Indexes tab.
• Check the desired fast sort options:
• Check Fast size sort.
• Check Fast date created sort.
• Check Fast date modified sort.
• Check Fast date accessed sort.
• Check Fast attribute sort.
• Check Fast path sort.
• Check Fast extension sort.
• Click OK.

Are you using a sort order not mentioned above?
-If so, to always keep the current sort, please try the following:

• Copy and paste the following into the Everything search box:
  /always_keep_sort=1
• Press ENTER in the Everything search box.
• If successful, always_keep_sort=1 is shown in the status bar for a few seconds.
