First Love the product.
I would like a way to reduce my search results to a folder quickly.
I know the product has the Folder Pane where I can select a particular folder on the left side. I have very deep sub folders and find it difficult to reduce search to a folder QUICKLY - unless there is some command or short cut I don't know about. It's too much trouble when one is constantly changing paths like I do trying to organize my folders and contents.
It would be great to add the following commands to the right click when cursor is over the file path.
1. "Reduce Search to Path" selected-takes current search and reduces it to the path.
2. "New Search" which would open the path with existing search if any into a new open Search Everything Window.
This would be a great help in reducing the key strokes/clicks because as I use your product I hate opening windows explorer and doing a search within windows folder.
Reduced Search to a Folder Quickly
Re: Reduced Search to a Folder Quickly
Thats possible in version 1.5
View / Folders
Select your start folder
and use "Search Everything 1.5..." from the context menu.
Options / General / "Show Search Everything folder context menu item" must be checked.

Re: Reduced Search to a Folder Quickly
My Verison is 1.5a - when you say context menu you mean the menu choices at top of screen where View>Folders (TODO) is checked.
I'm looking for a quick way vs scrolling through a deep menu folder structure to select my starting folder. I like to be able to do a normal search and where I can right click and select the starting folder at that point.
I'm hoping I'm clear and think it would be beneficial and reduce a lot of scrolling to set the starting folder to do the search from. Unless you have this feature in a later version or I'm not understanding out to quickly select a starting folder to narrow my search to without a lot of expanding folder structure and scrolling a deep file structure.
Re: Reduced Search to a Folder Quickly
When you right-click on a search result, Everything (1.5) lists that items directory name.
And if you expand that directory name's menu, there is a 'Search in Everything' which will load that directory name as the starting point of your search.
Likewise, any subdirectories (but not parents) can be expanded & each are able to open their respective 'Search in Everything'.
