I don't know if it's a preview file feature, but it seems like a bug since there're no play/pause buttons anywhere. It happens just by clicking (just once, no double) in a row where there's a mp3 file on it.
Edit: I did more testing, seems random, not all mp3 do it, maybe 50/50 but I can't find a pattern either. Clicking is not necessary, I used the arrow keys of my keyboard and it happens too.
I attached a gif of the bug.

Re: [Bug] Everything starts playing mp3 files by itself
What OS?
What is your "default" media player?
(Something I heard about some sort of "traditional" WMP available on Win11 or some such [as opposed to whatever the default crud might be there] so maybe that is playing [pun ?] into what is happening?)

Re: [Bug] Everything starts playing mp3 files by itself
It's a feature
In Everything, type or paste the following search and press ENTER:
If successful, winmm=0 is shown in the status bar for a few seconds.
See this thread for more details.

Re: [Bug] Everything starts playing mp3 files by itself
Thank you! I deactivated it, I guess I should delete the post?
Although, if it's a feature, not all mp3 files where playing on my testing, so I guess there's a bug there anyways

Re: [Bug] Everything starts playing mp3 files by itself
So is winmm=0 the defaulted setting?
And if so, how did it get enabled (in this case)?

Re: [Bug] Everything starts playing mp3 files by itself
The default setting for winmm is 0.
spooky might have accidentally run /winmm=1 from the search box?
