[Suggestion] Jump to a good frame for video preview thumbnail

The default preview thumbnail for videos are from the first seconds of the file, making the preview mostly useless in cases where all videos have an intro



Is there any possibility to make an optional "extract a frame at 10% of the file for preview" or something like that?

Everything uses the system preview handler to render previews.

The system preview handler can be customized with third party preview handlers.

Please try a third party preview handler for videos.
If anyone knows of a good third party preview handler, please recommend it here.

Icaros is part of the K-Lite Codec Pack which for me is one of the best on the market.

Does Media Preview support taking a thumbnails beyond the start of the video? (that was OP's major issue)

I had MediaPreview from Babelsoft installed
before I switched to K-Lite Codec Pack including Icaros.
There was no preview handler, only thumbnails for all sorts of media.

Did my research @horst.epp and the features page says that it supports what I'm asking for, I end up using Icaros since it was recommended first though. Thanks everybody!
