[Solved] Delete shell32.dll.mui_OLD

Post by w64bit »

I was making some changes in C:\Windows\System32\en-US\shell32.dll.mui file in order to remove Paste shortcut right click item.
One of the steps is to rename original shell32.dll.mui to shell32.dll.mui_OLD
After finishing the work, I deleted shell32.dll.mui_OLD using cmd command but it's still displayed in Everything.
I have to manual Force Rebuild in 1305 to fix this.
Is this the correct Everything behavior?

Yes, the file is a hard link.
Monitor hard links

Everything now tracks changes to all hardlinks.
However, deleted hard links are ignored.
Force a rebuild to clear deleted hard links.
