Saving external drive property indexes

Post by nalol »

When I disconnect an external drive I lose all my fast sort indexing, meaning it has to index all the file properties on the drive again. Is there a way to save this information on my computer so when I reconnect the drive, Everything has the file properties pre-indexed? Thanks.

Also I'm using 1.5a if that matters.

Are you sure this isn't related to this issue you reported?

Yes. My options/preferences are all saved, just the indexes for the removed external drive are gone.

What are your settings for
- Automatically include new fixed volumes
- Automatically include new removable volumes
- Automatically remove offline volumes

Those settings can be found under Menu:Tools > Option > Indexes > NTFS and Menu:Tools > Option > Indexes > FAT
