Lost dropdown in search box on the left side

I know I had set the dropdown in the search box to the left side
but its now on the right side.
Can't remember or find the option to set this again ?

I assume you mean the filter bar and not the search history dropdown list (which can be folded out with CTRL + SPACE) ?

In that case:
Put cursor between search bar and Fitler bar, until you see arrows like this; <-->
Then drag left until the left border and drop.

To put the filter bar to the right again:
Put cursor between Fitler bar and search bar , until you see arrows like this; <-->
Then drag left until the left border and drop.

No, I mean the search history dropdown.
Its much easier if its on the left side of the search field.

O, I had no idea that was even possible. I am only aware of this being suggested, so can't help you in this case.

The search history drop down button is fixed on the right side.

An option to show the drop down button on the left is on my TODO list.


Were you using right to left reading order?
-If so you can toggle this by right clicking the search box and checking/unchecking Right to left reading order.
