Is there a way to hide/unhide offline volumes at will? (while still offline)
Is there a way to hide/unhide offline volumes at will? (while still offline)
Is there a way to easily hide and unhide an offline volume, without it coming back online? In other words say my internal drive is C and I have an external drive D that I only connect once in a while. I have Everything set up to keep D in the index. I'd like to keep all its files hidden most of the time because they're too distracting, while being able to easily toggle to display them when I want to look for something, without connecting the drive. Is this possible?

Add !D: to your filters or bookmarks

In Everything 1.5 - the alpha version is available for testing- there is a new function online:. Which does what you expect it to do

To create a filter to exclude your D: drive:
- In Everything, from the Search menu, click Add to filters....
- Change the Name to: Hide D: drive
- Change the Search to: !d:
- Click OK.

Thanks. That's exactly what I wanted; even better with keyboard shortcuts because for frequently-used functions like this, navigating menus gets to be a hassle, although doable if it's not too many keystrokes, and menu buttons are miserable disruptive stress triggers.
