using nop: in macro box for description

I've been using the macro dialogue box in bookmarks to add a description with nop:
This doesn't appear to work any more. I'm getting an error message stating that the colon is an invalid character

Here you can see why colon is prevented in macro names, beginning with version 1.5.0.1287a.

I think nop: is intended to be used in the search: field only. Using nop: in the macro: field probably has no effect.
