When I paste to multiple locations I use the parent/paste on the context menu when pasting to files found in the search window and ordinary paste when pasting to found folders.
I'm wondering if there's a way of preventing me from accidentally using parent paste when pasting to a folder.
Also, if I have a mixture of files and folders and I wanted to paste into them all at the same time would it be possible to have a paste command that distinguishes between files and folders?
I suspect it's not possible to implement the second question and possibly impractical to implement the first.
I hope the above makes sense...
pasting into multiple locations, distinguishing between files and folders
Re: pasting into multiple locations, distinguishing between files and folders
I will look into an option to paste into the parent of files and paste directly into folders.
Thanks for the suggestion.
For now, you can press Ctrl + V to paste into the folders only (even when files are selected)
and then select just the files (or search for file:) and then paste with Parents -> Paste.
