EFU Tree Viewer
EFU Tree Viewer
In case if anyone is interested in a standalone viewer of .efu files as a tree - I wrote a simplistic app for this purpose.
You can get it here: https://github.com/montoner0/EfuTreeView

Re: EFU Tree Viewer
Thanks, I'll try it out..matter of interest, are you developing the MPC-HC fork? I'm using MPC-BE at the moment but there are some things I prefer in MPC-HC and vice-versa.
Also, I came across this recently:
https://github.com/zybexXL/EFUtool
It doesn't seem to be in development any more and I doubt it will work with 1.5

Re: EFU Tree Viewer
Stamimail, out of interest, I use snap2html quite a lot, but I found that after version 2 it wasn't indexing a large number of files and folders.
Re: EFU Tree Viewer
I implemented a single feature a long time ago. No more worked on it since then.
Yeah, I've seen this one, but I think my tool could be handy for someone too.Stamimail wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 10:31 pm Related:

Re: EFU Tree Viewer
Nice!
Suggestion: add the name (+path) of the opened efu file to the window title bar/caption.

@montonero
What is the goal?
Browse For Folder - Navigation by clicks/arrows
QTAddressBar - Navigation by hovering

@Stamimail:
this is to view Everything's EFU files.
this is to view Everything's EFU files.
Re: EFU Tree Viewer
Exactly! I thought it's clear from the description.
Re: EFU Tree Viewer
I won't go deeper with this. I think I'm missing something. Never mind.
Re: EFU Tree Viewer
Everything 1.5 with View=>Folders enabled does the same thing
Re: EFU Tree Viewer
I've just noticed that Everything has the same trick (when you RightClick on a result item), but while the QTAddressBar navigation direction is to the descendants, the Everything navigation direction is to to the parents.
RightClick on a folder, I don't see yet the context menu like when RightClick on a result item.
Also, when you click on a folder, it opens its items on the results pane. It's like "open this folder in Everything". Can we have "open this folder in Everything" when RightClick on a folder in the result pane?
Re: EFU Tree Viewer
What do you mean,it works perfectly fine hereStamimail wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 4:58 pmRightClick on a folder, I don't see yet the context menu like when RightClick on a result item.

When I right click on anything(files or folder)even if the file\folder don't exist anymore,I still get the exact same menus as if i run Everything(not a filelist)
Re: EFU Tree Viewer
I don't talking about filelists.
I made a comparison between the context menu of Folders pane (View > Folders), and the context menu of Results pane.

Re: EFU Tree Viewer
I see Everything is letting multiple selection in the Folders pane by Ctrl+Click.
This is wonderful, but I also found a downside: when you press [-] to collapse, the selection is not kept.
Anyway, IMHO it's better to do with checkboxes. See the left pane:
