Without going into a lengthy explanation as to why I would like this, would it be possible to disable/enable this 'smart' behaviour (possibly with an ini entry)?Everything will only paste into unique folder paths (avoids pasting into duplicate folder paths)

Re: paste to multiple folders-disable 'smart' paste
You may have to go into a lengthy discussion. Because It is impossible to paste the same file(s) into the same path(s) more than once without encountering File Already Exists name collision error messages, asking whether to Replace or Rename or Skip these files. Since we know the file(s) being pasted are identical, it is completely without purpose to try copying/pasting them to the same destination(s) more than once.
Re: paste to multiple folders-disable 'smart' paste
Could you please give some more information, are you expecting the overwrite dialog?
-maybe to indicate the folder is selected more than once?
Are you pasting into a non-file-system folder where paste verb does something different?
