Another 'Everything Cannot See Networked Drives' Issue

Post by smoser121 »

I used Everything at my last job and it worked amazingly. I thank everyone that put in the effort to develop such an amazing tool!

Currently, at my new job, Everything refuses to see Networked NTFS drives than can be seen in Folder Explorer; whether the drives are mapped network drives, or automatically displayed on the office network.
  • Windows Specs:
    W10 Pro, Version 21H2, OS Build 19044.1348
  • Everything Specs & Settings:
    1.4.1.1005 (x64)
    • General:
      'Run as admin' - UNCHECKED
      'Everything Service' - CHECKED
      'EFU file association' - CHECKED
    • Indexes>NTFS:
All 3 "Automatically include..." - UNCHECKED
      'Include in database' - CHECKED
I have tried:
-Reinstalling
-Toggling 'Run as admin', restarting between toggles
-Toggling 'Everything Service', restarting between toggles

I also found this information viewtopic.php?t=1920 , but with it being from 2013, surely some aspects of it are outdated with easier ways to accomplish this task.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Did you add your network drive(s) under Menu:Tools > Options > Indexes > Folders ?

Indexes > NTFS is for locally attached NTFS volumes.

Nevermind, user error. I forgot to expand 'My PC'...
Oh the wasted time...
