And to clarify a bit, that is NOT for column overflow, but rather where a column is not in an overflow condition AND the full text is not visible (because of Everything window sizing).

I thought this regressed in 1279...

At least when I first put in 1279, when I first happened to notice, it looked like it wasn't working.
(And I thought, well, that's that.)

But then later, I noticed it was working & I wasn't able to duplicate?

Now I'm thinking, it might be a focus (or similar) issue?

What I did notice, later, was...


[menu item] (F)ile was "indented" (not selected, just indented)
& in a situation like that, focus is (though certainly not obvious)
on (F)ile, so at that point, this mouseover issue ensued...

maybe ? that is also what happened, initially?


(Also thinking that ... there might be some relationship in there with "ghosting", maybe not? And/or, CANCELMODE.
[I'd much rather have Alt+TAB working correct vs. a possible oddity here.])

If there are constant changes to your results then the tooltips will never show.
This is caused by the recent addition of updating the tooltip when the results change.

I am working on a fix..

Everything 1.5.0.1280a fixes an issue with the result list tooltip not showing when the results change.
