Time to search a phrase in an external SSD disk

Hello,

I am using the Everything software to search expressions in an external SSD disk.

The SSD size is 500 Go.
But the the SSD contains currently only 8 Go.
The files are mainly Word, Excel and pdf files.

When I search for an expression such "word1 word2", I use :
Advanced Search > A word or phrase in the file
I check "Match whole words"

The search takes approximately 10 minutes to display the results.

Is there a way to improve the speed of a phrase search in an external SSD file ?

For Everything 1.4, no.

Please refine your search for the best performance.

For example:

ext:docx;doc;pdf;xls;xlsx size:<10mb dm:thisyear content:"word1" content:"word2"



For Everything 1.5 (in development), multiple threads are used to read content on SSDs which will drastically improve content search performance.

You can also index content in Everything 1.5 which will store content in memory for instant content searches.

My current version is Version 1.4.1.992 (x64)
I am using the French interface

The way to index is supposed to be the following :
To enable content indexing:
In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
Click the Content tab on the left.
Check Index file content.
Click OK.

My French interface screenshot is attached.

How can I index the SSD files ?

That indexing is only available in the 1.5 Alpha.
