Hi,
I'm trying to run the http server as a service and I'm running into two issues:
1. Unless I'm logged on to the server in question the http server doesn't seem to want to run.
2. If I try to run Everything with a different user name than my domain admin account I get asked for credentials when I'm trying to access the web interface remotely. And I'm not sure exactly what credentials are expected. I created a domain account that's a member of the local admin group on the windows server in question.
Any 2 cents welcome!
TIA
Issues running http server as service
Re: Issues running http server as service
Please try running Everything as a client service.1. Unless I'm logged on to the server in question the http server doesn't seem to want to run.
This will install Everything as a service so you don't need to login to start the ETP/FTP/HTTP server.
Everything will use different settings for each user. (unless you disable Tools -> Options -> General -> Store settings and data in %APPDATA%\Everything)2. If I try to run Everything with a different user name than my domain admin account I get asked for credentials when I'm trying to access the web interface remotely.
If you disable "Store settings and data in %APPDATA%\Everything", please ensure Everything.exe will have write permission to the same location as Everything.exe
There might be another HTTP service?
Try changing the HTTP server port in Everything to 8080 from Tools -> Options -> HTTP -> Listen on port.
Have you set a username/password in Tools -> Options -> HTTP?
