To increase the search box font size:
- Completely exit Everything (File -> Exit)
- In Windows Explorer, type in the following address:
%APPDATA%\Everything
- Open your Everything.ini
- Change the following line:
search_edit_font_size=
to:
search_edit_font_size=24
where 24 is the font height in pixels.
- Save changes and restart Everything.
Consider adjusting the dpi (dots per inch - the size of all controls) in Everything:
- In Everything, type in the following search and press ENTER:
/dpi=144
(the default is 96)
Type in the following search and press ENTER:
/restart
Adjusting the search box size and UI scale from within the UI is
in development.
A bar with icons/text above or below search bar to quickly access items clicked recently (it would help with going back and forth on documents/files we searched for and have already opened / viewed )
I will consider a run history bar.

run history window (Tools -> Run History) is

For now, please try sorting by Run History from View -> Sort by -> Date Run. (or show the Date Run column and click the Date Run column header)

Please try the run history feature in Everything. (Tools -> Options -> History -> Enable Run History)
Show the Run Count column by right clicking the result list column header.
Sort by Run Count by left-clicking the Run Count column header.
Right click a file to set the run count.
The larger the run count, the higher the result appears in the list.
Opening a file will increase the run count by one.
Pressing Enter from the search box will always select the result with the highest run count.
