Removing columns
Removing columns
Can I permanently delete columns such as date recently changed and file list filename?
Re: Removing columns
No.
What are you trying to do?
Do you wish to prevent properties from showing in the Select Property window?

Re: Removing columns
It's to get rid of columns I don't use to remove clutter..What I do at the moment is move the columns to the end so that I don't have to horizontally scroll as much in the search window.
Re: Removing columns
Right click the column header and click Remove column.
Re: Removing columns
I've been doing that but the column returns after a restart..I assume I can't get rid of it permanently.
I thought maybe I could do it with a filter but that doesn't work.

Re: Removing columns
Please check your home columns under Tools -> Options -> Home -> Columns.
-Change this to (Use last value).
Please check if a filter/bookmark is temporarily showing this column.
Search -> Organize filters -> Select Filter -> Edit... -> Columns -> set to (No change).
Please make sure Everything is saving its settings to disk:
From the File menu, click Exit
Restart Everything.
Does the column persist?

Re: Removing columns
I did that before but it didn't work...this time I exited Everything and the service.
It appears to have worked this time. Thanks.
