file refresh

When I install software I often use dc:last1mins and dm:last1mins which I've bookmarked

It works well but I've found that if I leave it for a few minutes before installing the list does update automatically with other files that have been created or changed but doesn't remove those files. I have to go to my bookmarks to refresh the list.

If I had to guess, it would be because the file has an open handle to it (cause it to not drop off of the list)... ?

Instead of "refreshing", simply adding (then removing) a space on the search bar should clean things up.

Thanks, but unless I misunderstand you it sort of defeats the object of the exercise...I may as well just refresh it.

Correct.
So maybe there is a bug here, or maybe that "just the way it is", & maybe some sort of work-around could be put in to drop "stale" files?
(All this assuming something like dm:<last1mins is intended, expected to get rid of "stale" files.)

last1mins specifies the range from one minute ago from 'now' until the end of time.
'now' is determined from the time of the initial query.

Because this range is resolved at query time your results may appear stale.

Everything will add new results as they are modified/created/renamed.


I will consider an option to periodically research when using lastxmins.
