If I want to do a single search with a filter, is there any way that when I type in the next search the filter can go back to the default Everything.
Example, I search for harry with a filter set to folders, when I type in my next search I have to reset the filter to Everything manually (unless I'm using a bookmark:
filter default

Filters can have "macros".
The macro acts as a shortcut to the filter.
So if you create a Filter, NO_EXTENSION, & its' Search is, & its' Macro is , instead of using the Filter dropdown dialog, you can simply preface your search with (with the colon), & in that case, it will act as a one of.

Thanks, I'll try that, I suppose I could then bookmark it to save having to remember it. I assume then that there's there no way of doing it from the drop down filters?
A lot of the time I use Everything from the context menu to search a directory and then it's very easy to use a filter but I wont be able to do that using bookmarks, I'll have to enter it manually.
