Search Everything not working?
Hi, I just noticed that Search Everything seems to just give me folder names in my results. I haven't changed anything in my settings. Checking the results, it only gives me results from a D:\GameOver\GameOver\GameOver folder which Windows can't find. Help, please?
Re: Search Everything not working?
This happens when the Everything.db (the everything database file on disk) is filled with zeros.
Please make sure no search options are checked under the Search menu (eg: uncheck match case, uncheck match whole words, uncheck regex)
Please make sure the Everything filter is active under the Search menu.
Please make sure these files are not excluded from Tools -> Options -> Exclude.
Please make sure Everything is installed correctly:

Please make sure Everything is installed correctly:
- In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the General tab on the left.
- Check Store settings and data in %APPDATA%\Everything
- Uncheck Run as administrator.
- Check Everything Service. (Please make sure this is tick-checked and not square-checked)
- Click OK.
- Exit Everything (right click the Everything tray icon and click Exit).
- Restart Everything.
- In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the Indexes tab on the left.
- Click Force Rebuild.
- Click OK.
- Completely exit Everything (right click the Everything system tray icon and click Exit)
- In Windows Explorer, type in the following address and press ENTER:
%LOCALAPPDATA%
Delete your Everything.db
Restart Everything.
Re: Search Everything not working?
I had the same issue and tried both suggestions - neither worked.
The solution for me was a complete uninstall, re-install & re-setup.
