Everything 1.5 1267a - Database corrupt message on idle

Post by aviasd »

Hi
After installing v1267a, my PC was idle for a couple of hours.
When I returned, I've got a database corrupt error with reference to some CPP line in the source.
The message said to click OK to restart everything and rebuild the database.
Didn't take a screenshot.
I haven't found any related .dmp file or .log
BTW - After clicking OK, everything did not restart.
Note: I'm indexing length (audio/video) and width (images/video) properties, as well as all indexes in the index menu in settings.
Note2 I'm also content indexing office+pdf files on one folder (~200Mb)
Note3: Next time it happens I will create a minidump using process explorer..

Thank you for the corrupt db message.

This error means the database is no longer sorted.

Everything will delete your Everything.db and rebuild a new one.
You will need to manually restart.

Please let me know if you see the message again.
It means the issue is being generated with this version of Everything (since it is a fresh db)

Please take note of the corrupt message as it should give a little bit of information about what Everything was doing (eg: remove NTFS folder)

Everything 1.5.0.1268a fixes an issue with sorting folders by File Reference Number (FRN).

This bug is definitely causing database corruption when removing a folder.

Please let me know if corrupt database message appears with Everything 1.5.0.1268a.
