Function to define action by RegEx

Post by horst.epp »

The Everything toolbar has a nice function which I would like to see in Everything itself.
I can define by RegEx rule what application should be started from the results depending of filetype.
This includes parameters like the filename or pathname.

So there should be a definition screen and a cutomizable hotkey in the results.
My Toolbar rules as an example for my usage:

Thanks, I know your script and even have stored it for future reference.
Currently while not in TC I'm using the Toolbar, I like the fast and simple way to enter my search.
With the upcoming Windows 11 there may be a problem with the way the Toolbar works.
But thats a long time to wait and see what happens.

FYI (or better: For @ettb's Information) : The Insider Preview build of Win11 was released today.

My message was for @void, btw. To show that there are more people interestd in this feature. Didn't expect you to try/use it :)
