Getting error when trying to connect to ETP server only from particular client

Post by whiggs »

Hello. So, when I attempt to connect to an everything ETP server that I have running on my local network from only one particular client, I am getting this error message:

However, as my above statement would imply, when trying to connect from other clients on my network, I am able to successfully connect to the ETP server. Any idea why this one particular client might be having an issue? Thanks.

Error 11001:

Host not found.

No such host is known. The name is not an official host name or alias, or it cannot be found in the database(s) being queried. This error may also be returned for protocol and service queries, and means that the specified name could not be found in the relevant database.

Can you ping that host name from a command prompt? (double check the IP resolves to the correct address)
Please make sure the Everything client is not running as an administrator.

Are you able to connect with the host IP instead of the host name? (Try ipv4 and ipv6).
