Launch external file viewer/editor

Hi. How about a key (F3 is a nice one) to launch an external viewer with the file under the cursor? (Lister, Universal Viewer, etc.) And maybe another one (F4, to keep it company) that opens the file in an editor. In other words, as in Total Commander. I'm surprised to not find it mentioned on these boards, other than mention of a preview pane (I'd prefer something external personally).

Thanks - that would be a brilliant addition to a tool I've already come to rely on after only two weeks!

In principle, I suppose, doing something like integrating Everything into a file manager like Total Commander would be mind-blowingly awesome, but probably much too complex to knock up in a short time.
