I'm running on a new computer, and had to fresh install voidtools. I plug in my externals, and all works fine as far as details go, listing, etc, except not all the thumbnails load. Some do, some don't. Even when it's the same extension. Some mkvs loaded, some do not.
Maybe this is a problem with it being a new computer, and I am wasting time.
but still, is there any way to force Everything to generate thumbnails?
How can I force generate thumbnail previews?

Re: How can I force generate thumbnail previews?
Everything is using the thumbnails generated by windows, everything don't make some kind of database file for the thumbnails
Windows saves them here and everything uses them and also creates them the same way windows do
C:\Users\user name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer
New thumbnails are created based on the thumbnails size and kept in separate database file
The same apply for the icons
Windows\Everything will do the same thing(this one just creates them all at once rather than only the viewed like windows usually do)

Re: How can I force generate thumbnail previews?
Thank you for linking that program.
Upon further research, It seems that Windows by default lacks the proper codec resources required to load the thumbnails.
So I will look into this as a possible solution as well
Thank you, that is all.
