Cannot F2, Rename when Cursor is hovering a files' Icon.
At least you can get into an odd situation where you kind of get stuck.
You've hit F2 to rename a file, yet you can't seem to move the cursor (using the arrow-keys).
Might take a bit of testing to duplicate.
This is only a odd situation.
Even though you are in F2, Rename, because you happened to have the cursor hover the icon (& that is that oddity, as in most cases that is not too likely to occur), as you use the arrow keys, it appears that they are ineffectual. (In fact, movements are registered, just not seen.)
Cannot Rename when Cursor is on Icon
Re: Cannot Rename when Cursor is on Icon
Do I understand correctly, the caret in the rename edit box is not visible?
Could you please send me your Everything.ini to support@voidtools.com?
I wonder if this is the tooltip triggering some bug, or mouseover highlighting? or maybe something with the /rename_nav option or /rename_select_filepart_only

Re: Cannot Rename when Cursor is on Icon
It might only happen on an overflow item.
Select an item. (Yellow, in my case)
Leave it.
Hover it. (You needn't necessarily be hovering over the icon, just the item itself.)
- note how the item (overflowed) is highlighted (Pale yellow, in my case)
Hit F2.
- not always but sometimes this happens
- note how there opened up a "white space" after the end of the overflowed item
- note how it would appear that the cursor is in fact after then end of the filename (after .webm)
(In my case, settings should have the cursor position before the extension dot.)
I suppose what is actually happening is that the F2, Rename is actually effected, it is just that at the same time, the hover, & subsequent display of the overflowed item is hiding the F2 edit dialog.

Re: Cannot Rename when Cursor is on Icon
Thanks for the ini.
I suspect this is the tooltip overlapping the rename edit.
Could you please Everything 1.4.1.973.
This version hides the tooltip when renaming.
This version also prevents renaming while there is an active mouse cursor capture.
