Everything Shows Generic Icon and Not the Magnifying Glass
Everything Shows Generic Icon and Not the Magnifying Glass
I loaded "Everything" on my old Windows Vista computer and use it often. The icon that appears in the bottom Windows bar is a standard generic icon and not the orange magnifying glass. Where is that icon and what do I edit to replace the generic icon?
Re: Everything Shows Generic Icon and Not the Magnifying Glass
Is the desktop icon also generic?
Right-click the icon, Properties [Shortcut], Change Icon..., [re-select it], OK, OK.
If that doesn't get it, you can try changing it to something else, even arbitrary, then change it back to its "built-in" icon.
And if that still doesn't get it, might be corrupt icon cache.
Do a search for that & see what they say about "fixing" it.
