UNABLE TO UPDATE AND NOW UNABLE TO UNINSTALL COMPLETELY

I found that I could not update Everything, so I decided that I would delete the old version and install the newer version. The older version would not uninstall, so I tried to follow the directions and began to delete the program manually. I thought that I had completely removed all traces of the older version of Everything, but now the newer version will not install. I get the message "unable to install correctly (0xc000007b)"

Suggestions?
