I run two instances of Everything.
Everything-1 is for volumes C, D, E, F
Everything-2 is for volumes X, Y (USB offline volume)
I uncheck "Enable USN Journal" but a volume (that is set to "Monitor Changes" in the other instance of Everything) will automatically get "Enable USN Journal" checked.
Is there a way to prevent this?
"Enable USN Journal" keeps getting set
Re: "Enable USN Journal" keeps getting set
Enabling "Monitor Changes" will also enable "Enable USN Journal". The two are related.burgundy wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2019 1:13 pm I run two instances of Everything.

Some background information
Other applications (or Windows) can enable the USN Journal (it's a Windows thing that Everything can use or not).
If you don't want to monitor chaqnges, it's enough to disable the Monitor Changes setting.
This has to be done per disk/volume:
- Click on each Local NTFS volume that you no longer want to monitor( under Menu:Tools > Options > Indexes > NTFS )
- disble Monitor Changes
