I use Everything to index two partitions. There is a directory on a third partition which I would also like to index. Is it possible to index just that directory?
The only way I know is to specify the whole partition on the NTFS tab in Options and then to use the Exclude tab to exclude all the other folder. This seems cumbersome and is probably very inefficient in terms of system resource.
What is the best way to do this?
Add single directory in another partition
Re: Add single directory in another partition
Add the specific folder as a Folder Index.
Re: Add single directory in another partition
I must have overlooked that. Thank you.
Re: Add single directory in another partition
If this is a local NTFS volume, there is a posssible alternative:
- Go to Menu:Tools > Options > Indexes > NTFS
- Select the disk/volume
- Make sure Include in database is enabled
- Enter your folder(s) in the Include only box
- Go to Menu:Tools > Options > Indexes > NTFS
- Select the disk/volume
- Make sure Include in database is enabled
- Enter your folder(s) in the Include only box
