Location of the .ini file

I put Everything in c:\program files\Everything. I then added a shortcut to C:\Documents and Settings\eddyq\Start Menu\Programs. I made the "start in" c:\Program Files\Everything".

When I run Everything, it puts Everything.ini in my start menu. Is there a way to put that in c:\Program Files\Everything?

Sounds like you copied your Everything.exe to C:\Documents and Settings\eddyq\Start Menu\Programs instead of creating a shortcut?

Please close any existing Everything process and try running your shortcut again:

• Right click the Everything system tray icon and click Exit.

Everything will make two Everything.ini files:

• One in the same location as your Everything.exe
• Another in %APPDATA%\Everything -If you have Store settings and data in %APPDATA%\Everything enabled.
