Hello!
Thank you for your wonderful program, Everything! Ever since I installed it and ran it, and was blown away by the speed it indexed my harddisk, I have experienced nothing but joy in using it. I never use the Windows search to find files.
But one thing puzzles me. I was having problems a few days ago, and thought my regedit.exe was gone. I typed "regedit" into the search box. But Everything couldn't find the regedit.exe in my c:\windows dir. It found two versions in
C:\Windows\winsxs\wow64_microsoft-windows-registry-editor_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_5a78515e29ea6f39
and
C:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-registry-editor_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_5023a70bf589ad3e
... but not the one in C:\windows. At first I thought it was gone, but later I went to the c:\windows dir, and scrolled down, and much to my surprise, the file was right there! And Everything still can't find it!
I have turned off case-sensitivity.
I am running Windows 7.
What is going on? I have usually found that Everything found files which Windows Search wouldn't find. So this really puzzles me.
Thank you.
Regards,
Isak

Please make sure you are using Everything 1.4
Everything 1.4 indexes all hardlinks, whereas Everything 1.3 does not.
