Does syntax PRECLUDE certain results?

Post by HungerFreeze »

I'm not an expert in search engines so I apologize if this question seems extremely stupid.

Does the program's search engine preclude certain results, given the syntax?

For example, without using quotes within the search box, I typed, "dog walker", will it search for files that contain walker dog as well? I might be wrong but it seems like it does. How do I eliminate this restriction.

So, I want to find files that may only have "walker" in it without the word "dog". How would I create such a search?

Thanks in advance to you experts.

Please have a look at the Advanced Search from the Search menu.

The Advanced Search will help setup an Everything search.

Now I see. Is there a way to make a psecific configuration in advanced search as the default search or I have to pre-configure advanced search every time I need to search that way?

Take a look at Filters (Menu:Search > Organize Filters) and their associated helptext ( https://www.voidtools.com/support/every ... g/#filters )
