Last month, Everything was right and remembering my history choice. For example, I type 'abc.exe' and run it for the first time. After that, I could just type 'ab' and press Enter to focus on abc.exe file. However, these days this function has no use AFTER RESTART my computer, which means that it only works and remembers my choice before I restart my computer.
I've tried to reinstall Everything but the problem remains. And I've checked %appdata% path and 'Run History.csv' exists after reboot.
Looking forward to anyone's help!
Thanks a lot!

Please make a backup of your %APPDATA%\Everything.

Re: Please help! Run history issue
Thank you for your help but it seems no use....
The ``Store settings and data in %APPDATA%\Everything'' was checked before I've done anything. I follow the instruction but the problem remains. The history 'abc' pops up when I type 'a' but when I use the down arrow to enter 'abc', it focuses on the first line, instead of 'abc.exe'.
Anyway, thanks a lot. Looking forward to your help!

Re: Please help! Run history issue
Run history is stored in the following file:
%APPDATA%\Everything\Run History.csv
Please try sorting by run history and check if your run history information is still there.
To sort by run history:
Does it look like all your run history is there?
To show the Run count for each item:
%APPDATA%\Everything\Run History.csv

Re: Please help! Run history issue
Thank you very much.
Sorting by run history works and the run history information is getting correctly.
However, when I restart my computer, I find that some of the files are "gone" or "missing". Only after I click the "force rebuild index" button, everything goes fine including the run history.
Therefore, I suppose maybe this is the key problem? Any suggestions about why some files are gone after reboot?
Looking forward to your kind help!

Do you have any folder indexes listed under Tools -> Options -> Folders?
Re: Please help! Run history issue
Any excludes filters set in Tools -> Options -> Exclude?
Re: Please help! Run history issue

- In Windows Explorer, right click your C: drive and click Properties.
- Click the Tools tab.
- Click Check now....
- Click Start.
- If prompted to schedule a scan on the next restart, click Yes.
