Hi. I want to only search on the C: drive, and I often have two external USB drives attached. If I go to Options... NTFS... and try to select one of the attached drives and UNclick the boxes that say to index that drive, then Everything freezes when I click "Apply" or "Ok" and I have to use Task Manager to force a quit, and restart.
Help?
Everything freezes when I try to disallow indexing of external drives

Was Everything indexing when you clicked Apply or OK? Doing so will cause Everything to lock up until the first index is complete.
Please try disabling "Automatically index fixed and removable NTFS volumes":
Please try disabling "Automatically index fixed and removable NTFS volumes":
- In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the NTFS tab on the left.
- Uncheck Automatically index fixed volumes.
- Uncheck Automatically index removable volumes.
- Click OK.

I think that was most likely the problem. I'm now at home, with the external drives not connected, and it still lists those drives and allows me to disallow indexing. Looks good. I'll post back if there's still an issue.
It's soooooooo **fast***. I love it!
