Unable to save settings.
Store settings and data in %APPDATA%\\Everything?
Cause:
Everything was unable to save its settings to the same location as your Everything.exe.
This commonly happens if you uncheck Store settings and data in %APPDATA%\Everything in the installer.
This will occur if you have Everything installed to C:\Program Files\Everything and run Everything as a standard user.
The standard user account does not have write permission to this folder.
Resolution:
Please enable Store settings and data in %APPDATA%\Everything in Everything:
- If prompted to Store settings and data in %APPDATA%\\Everything?, click Yes.
- In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the General tab.
- Check Store settings and data in %APPDATA%\Everything.
- Click OK.
