I installed Everything on one WIN 10 computer and tried to install it on a second. It continued "installing" one evening and overnight at which point I stopped it. Tried to open it and it would not. Tried to uninstall it and got an error message about 30% in which went away after a few minutes and the bar ran to about 75% and hanged. (./src/main,c(333):_main_close_existing_process(): Fatal error:Timed out while waiting for Everything.exe to close) After 6 hours with no action apparent to the task manager nor the bar I killed the process and tried to follow the manual deletion process. Some of the steps did not show up (presumably because they were not installed or were uninstalled).
Before going any further, I'd like advice on the best course of action.
On the other PC, Everything works super well.
Install Failed
Re: Install Failed
There might be an Everything process running which has hung.
The Everything service may have hung also, which would require a restart to fix.
Please try terminating any Everything.exe processes:
