Exclusion notice
Because it's so easy to setup exclusions with good intentions and for good reasons, and then forget all about one or more of them months or years later when you're not getting a result on something that you know exists, might it be a good idea to include an option that in this scenario would display something like "Some results excluded" instead of absolutely nothing? Anything to prevent this kind of mishap, which admittedly is shooting yourself in the foot, but still, guns have safeties.

And so with your post my first thought was yeah, an indicator, like an icon, highlighted perhaps, to show when a "filter" is in effect.
But then my second that was, & just what is supposed to trip that indicator?
You turn your stove on & the burner heats up & you have an indicator that the stove is hot.
Turn off the stove, & once the burners have cooled sufficiently, the indicator goes off.
But in everything, most often, anything you do is going to involve a "filter" - in some fashion or the other [even your search - with no "filters", is a "filter" in & of itself], so just what "filter" is supposed to be the one(s) to remind you (& me) that we've set a "filter"?

I think what you're describing is a chicken and egg situation from Everything's standpoint: how can it warn a user that the given results (if any) are being altered by a filter if it's supposed to be ignoring what's in the filter list? Meaning that it should have no knowledge of any results in those locations.
Maybe: if on a search there are no results, then put up the notice. Not exactly what I was thinking, because plenty of times there are results but what you want isn't there, but at least it would catch some cases, particularly if you're doing a very specific search.
