I want start Everything without indexing drives, only load existing Everything.db
I use 64-bit 1.3.4.686, no as windows service, as administrator, my installation directory is C:\Everything and when I use in command prompt
Everything.exe -db C:\everything\Everything.db -read-only
everything starts, but do not load existing Everything.db, but again start new indexing of all of my drives ...
Is it some solution ?
start Everything offline without indexing
Re: start Everything offline without indexing
Everything.exe -db C:\everything\Everything.db -read-only
should work.
Please check if Everything is already running before the call to Everything.exe -db C:\everything\Everything.db -read-only
Please try forcing a rebuild of the Everything.db, the database on disk could be corrupt:
should work.
Please check if Everything is already running before the call to Everything.exe -db C:\everything\Everything.db -read-only
Please try forcing a rebuild of the Everything.db, the database on disk could be corrupt:
- Make sure Everything is not running.
- Run Everything normally (without -read-only)
- Exit Everything so the Everything.db is saved to disk.
- Try Everything.exe -db C:\everything\Everything.db -read-only again
Re: start Everything offline without indexing
thank you
problem was maybe that Everything was not running before running command Everything.exe -db C:\everything\Everything.db -read-only, or database corrupted, but now it is ok (maybe from time when I exported filelist and open it , now when I run Everything, offline filelist is opened, that what I wanted, I occasionally will rebuild database)
Still I do not know what uncheck in Settings to force Everything started without automatically starting indexing fixed drives (partitions) on my laptop _
